My dad bought me this truck when I was 16. When I moved out of the house he kept it in the garage and drove it every so often. I have had it for the last 3 years. I am planning on putting a new 350 GM crate motor in it soon.Sep 01, 2014

Always something that could be or should be added to it to make it cooler or more stylish with this kinda vehicle. Its a ongoing transformation that goes with classic cars and trucks. I plan on enjoying just like the cuda and then selling it to some lucky person out there.Jun 25, 2014

This truck is so customiseable its not even funny. the no smog title just adds to this even more. with my 6in,. lift I can conquer virtually and obstacle, add to that the 4wd with transfer case and front locking hubs this is truelly a irresistible offroad crawler. No electronics makes tuning and troubleshooting non-existent. set it and it goes or it doesn't. not half-in-between FI bs.Jun 11, 2014

For being 41 years old, and getting parked in a shed with a dirt floor for 16 years of its life, this truck has really held up well. Sure, it has the usual rusted areas that all 67-72 Chevy trucks are infamous for, but it's all repairable. And it is still in better shape than the majority of 94-97 Dodge Rams that I have seen on the road.
It has great performance characteristics for having nearly 100,000mi on a mildly hopped up 350. It starts on the first try every time, even in freezing cold temperatures. The acceleration is good for a 4200lb truck, it has no problem keeping up with Mustangs, Camaros, and rice burners.
It has timeless styling. You can find styling cues from this truck in Dodge Rams, late 90's Chevy 1500's, and I've noticed similar body lines while looking at certain Ford trucks.
Its fairly cheap to own. I've put more than 60,000 miles on it since I've owned it, and the most expensive part I've had to replace was the distributor. Fuel consumption is fair for a truck at 18 mpg. Just remember that it wasn't until just a few years ago that full sized trucks surpassed the 20 mpg mark.
Saying this truck is fun to drive would be an understatement. With the factory sized 235/65 R15 rubber on the rear, smoking the tires is an everyday occurrence. That being said, the factory sized tires only last me about 800 miles before they look like street slicks. I remedied this by getting a pair of Good Year Wrangler size 31"x10.50". They are much more expensive, and slightly harder to spin.Dec 10, 2013

They are perty rare now in days. They have different types of motors and customs. They start from a staight 6 all the way up to a big block v-8. Not much at l this was when stuff was built right. One of the most best body styles that cheverolet has ever adfore a truck. This is the only thing i dont like now in days is gas mileage, well the v-8's, but the small block v-8's aint that bad. This truck is very fun to drive its like driven a cadilac.Mar 06, 2011

Performance: 0-60 in just over 6 seconds and 1 center support bearing, maybe a universal or two. Braking, (original manual brakes) 60-0 in 124 ft, 2 Toyotas and a Honda.
Build Quality: Unmatched in 39 years!
Appearance: Love the Classic truck look, Work in progress.
Cost of Ownership: Working on tuning since new engine, I have reached 16 mpg once or twice. (It's hard to do that when you love the sound of a good 4-bbl!)Sep 04, 2010

I don't give it a good rating right now cause it needs more work, but I will when it is finished. Still not finished rebuilding. Needs more time, parts, and money. Have a 1994 stepside fiberglass bed with corvette roll panel and L.E.D bar. 383 stroker, a pretty quick engine. It turns heads every time it is driven.Jul 26, 2010

My dream truck! Sure, it doesn't run right now, and it's in desperate need of some body work, but it's still gorgeous!! (Dents and scratches give it personality!!) It's got a new tranny, and we put a 4 inch lift on it last year. It's sitting on 35s. I put new Outlaw wheels on it, but they're starting to rust already. The interior if half-way restored. I've got a new sound system in there, but the truck leaks around the windshield. I'd like to finish restoring it in a few years.

I'm in the process of rebuilding it and i love how simple it is to work on. This era of trucks is by the best style of pickups ever built. Also it does have some accessories that make it easy to drive such as power steering, power brakes, sway bar, and coil suspension all the way around. Plus the 350s in these trucks are one of the best engines ever produced.Nov 26, 2008

Best truck Chevy ever built. Great ride, very smooth for a truck. Can be hot rodded very easily. Very simple to fix and maintain I have never been stranded in this truck. I would tell everyone they should own one. I cant say enough about them. I love this truck Aug 14, 2008

I wish it was painted all at once as it was supposed to be, things changed but its done now and I am happy. I am happy with the way it turned out, I have some people to thank, Pete, Ward, Shane,my wife and mostly my son Ryan althouugh he hates working on it now(he is sick of it)he worked hard on it, oh yes my bro inlaw who did the majority of the body, Bo, um lets see there are more I know it you know who you are.
