1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Reviews, Pricing & Specs

This is the 6th bug I have owned. I love everything about this car. I love that its sitting up on 15's. I love driving it: the pickup, the sound, the smell. I love working on this car. I love the fact that I can still afford and get OEM parts for this car. I really love that I can get away from road bullying SUV's and ride tractor trailer tailwinds with this car. I love that this car is made of metal not plastic. I love that it is air-cooled and has the engine in the back. I love that I can still push this car off the road when I run out of gas! I started out using this car as a joy ride, but it soon became my daily driver. The is nothing like being behind the wheel of a genuine VW.Sep 23, 2013

Now this is a fun ride! * Performance - acceleration, braking, handling - Good * Build Quality - has it needed repairs? squeaks/rattles - Good * Appearance - both interior and exterior styling - Super Cute * Cost of Ownership - gas mileage, maintenance - Had the engine re-built and new transmission a while back * Fun Factor - is this car fun to drive?
