It was actually a 3.5 P6 V8 auto and drank fuel like Oliver Reed with a thirst and steered like the Ark Royal but what a solid and luxurious feel! All leather and walnut inside and solid panels on the outside. The 3.5 engine had a kickdown which took half a second to recognise the command but the effect was then amazing. Steering around corners was an art as you almost had to anticipate the corners by turning the wheel a second or so before the car would react. But I would still buy another (manual version). I sold it for as much as I bought it for, after 3 years fairly heavy use. One of the best Rover ever produced!Sep 27, 2008
