C'mon, it was my first car! Took me forever to wrench the engine into shape, and never really got it straight and working solid. The carpet was ruined so I took it out. Floorpan was completely rotting out, had no radio, no power steering, drum brakes... Yeah, it was fun! Aug 18, 2010

I didn't like he cost of parts for the front end to be repaired....over 500 just in parts. One car shop said it would cost more than the car is worth. So I junked it. but traded the drive train for a larger one.Mar 31, 2010

A ar ressureted from having 3 tires in the crusher....my brothers in thier ultimate wisdom thought this was a much better car for me than a 1969 Torino Convertable.
When the car had brakes it was fun to drive. The car was litterally rebuilt from the quarter panels down.Dec 30, 2008

Performance - quick on the draw
Build Quality - Tough built like all Fords :)
Appearance - Nice lines, nice color, sporty looking.
Cost of Ownership - BAD on gas.. but it's not supposed to be good on it..
Fun Factor - Very fun to drive, I love it.. It's a head turner everytime I'm out!Aug 25, 2008

My First Car: 1971 Maverick
Positive: I liked my Maverick because it was Yellow and had a hard black top. And it gave me my Independence at age 19, and helped me get to work. It helped me improve my driving skills
Negative: I had to go in for oil changes alot. I had to pay for them. That car burned alot of oil. It always left oil where I parked it. And my foster father was always looking for something to be wrong with it.Jul 05, 2008

was 6cyl, auto car, but after 2 I6s, and 2 C4, there is now a mild 5.0 backed by a T5, gasket matched ported and polished, mild cam, stock bottom end, twisted torker intake and some other goodies, bare bones, no frillsApr 03, 2008
