I enjoy driving my 442 as much as i can.
I use it in parades, shows and cruises.
It is very flashy and fast and LOUD
the car gets attentioin wherever it goes.

455 4 speed 411 gears maroon great mussle car . best thrill was on two lane highway . Following slow driver at about 45mph I would put it in second and hit 65 shift then pass would be over. that was greatest rush.Jun 21, 2010

The 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 consists of a 455ci V8 rated conservatively at 390hp and 500ft/lbs of torque. I would personally get one with the factory 4 speed manual transmission. Runs 0-60 in 5.3 sec and the 1/4mi in 13.2 @ 107 mph. comes complete with A/C, AM/FM 8 track casette, vinyl interior, bucket seats, full gauges, posi-traction rear differential, rallye wheels, rallye stripes, functional ram air hood, and fiberglass rear decklid spoiler. This was a total, ground up, frame off restoration by tghe Thornton's. A totally numbers matching, all original car. I had it done as an investment and sold it two years ago. It was an absolute screamer. 455, 4 speed, 3.90 posi, Rally Pac Gauges. Unbelieveable. I wish I could have kept it but I found it a good home only 40 minutes from here. Someday I hope to buy it back.Sep 09, 2009

can get around twenty mpg, rocks the entire car when revving the engine, leaves pretty much every other car in the dustMay 27, 2008

Ok, my 442 has a really tired 455 under the hood, and by far, it is still faster than a lot of sports car. But don't get me wrong, a lot of guys don't understand what sort of power can be pulled out of this rocket!Apr 07, 2008

This car has it where it counts. Muscle, beauty, speed, convertible, AND its a pace car! It also missed the fuel embargoes of the 70's so it has a lower rated engine then it really is. This baby could blow ANY car off the road that you own.Jan 21, 2008
