First year Hornet isn't something you meet on a daily basis - or on a yearly basis either. I've had 5 so far and at the moment this is the only one I still own. Took me about 9 years to get it where it is now and basicly I've been thru everything on this car.
Transmission is a A727 automatic, which I'll most likely be swapping for a T-10 or T-5 manual as soon as I can find one locally here in Europe. Other than that plans are just to give it more miles on the road. Typical summer I get about 6000 miles on the meter.
AMC build quality in the 1970's was amazing, when looking thru the car I noticed tons of typical 'wear' parts that hadn't been swapped for replacements in the car's 30+ year life. Can't say the same for a 5year old new cars nowadays.Apr 08, 2009
