Though it does not have the pure performance of a
911, the 912 was an excellent handling, well-
mannered, fun-to-drive car. My particular car was a
rare soft-window targa and it's still one of the best
looking cars that Porsche ever made. It's a very
reliable car that can easily be used as a daily driver
that appreciates while you drive it.Nov 24, 2008

Originally equipped with a 1.6L 4 cylinder engine that made 100hp, I've put in a 2.7L 6 cylinder that sports 240hp. Woo hoo!May 15, 2008

This is my 1968 Porsche 912 Soft Window Targa. I won First Place at the 1992 New Hope Auto Show with the car. I also raced the car for a whole year in SCCA Solo II. I can't believe the car is 40 years old. It is very soild. I read somewhere that there are only 150 Soft Window Targa left. I can't believe that small of a number. Mar 05, 2008

Now a Porsche has all the good looks, very tight suspension and awesome handling, go cart like. But boy are these cars finniky. If someone has the time and patience this is the car for them.Oct 01, 2007
