This is clearly a project car, so to judge it on overall performance and appearance would be unfair, but I will say this. For a 42 year old car, it still drive swell. As far as build quality, this car was kept a lot better than most of its age have, and it has not yet been restored. Only real body work that has been done to it was it received a new (but terrible) paint job in the mid 70's. Body is straight and solid.Aug 06, 2010

The very first car I ever owned was a 1968 Pontiac Firebird. That car drove me through my high school years, through 10 years in the Army and well into my marriage and first few children. In 1994 I made the tough decision to sell my beloved Firebird in order to purchase my first home. From the moment I watched that car being driven away I regretted my choice, but life carried on. Over the years I searched in vain, trying to relocate my old 'bird so I could buy it back, but to no avail. Then, a few weeks ago my wife found and bought me a 1968 Firebird that could easily be the spitting image of the car I drove around throughout the last few years of my childhood and into early adulthood. I rode in this car when my big brother brought it home it has alot of power. and body is in good condition . He was gonna restore it and was in the process when he passed . I took over owner ship of it . but now im looking to sale it . so someone else can finish it . It brakes my heart to have to let it go but I dont have the time or money to finish her.and i know thats what he would of wanted his little sis to do. Apr 06, 2008

Well, I got this when i graduated from college with every intention of performing a complete restoration. Unfortunately due to work, going back to school and a lack of funds, progress has been, how should I say, SLOW!!! I do have the engine and transmission removed, as well as having some body work done and the car has since been repainted (to solar red, an original Firebird color, just not THIS Firebird's original color - the blue wasn't original either). I've also ripped out all of the interior but need to replace the floor pans in the front before I continue. As I said, it's a work in progress, but one I hope to have completed this decade (or soon thereafter!).Feb 12, 2008
