My first new automobile. I am very sorry I didn't keep it.Live and learn, go figure? Cost less than $3000.00 new 383ci / Automatic / Posi trac. A very sharp and fast car at that time
Less than 24000 miles on the odometer when I sold it.

I like the looks, the power, and the crowds it draws. Everyone who stops to check it out has the look of I want that car.
Possibly the most feared car of its day, and today it commands the respect of an old leader who pioneered the desire to be king of the road. There are faster cars on the road today, but there are no cars that match the dream of a true hemi road runner. Jun 03, 2012

the road runner is a great looking car that with the right engine under the hood had more than enough bark to back up its grunt. also the horn is absolutely hillarious it is made to sound just like the meep meep that the cartoon road runner always shouts at the cayote. gas mileage is a little lax but i turned my road runner into a track car so i never really drove it on the roadAug 19, 2008

The car's hood says it has a 383 but it was a screw up. It actually came with a 440 that my dad had the six-pack pistons put in and a bigger cam. It has a high rise intake and a 800 cfm double pumper holley carb. Its got 396 in the rear and a 4 speed automatic trans with a shift kit in it. It has performance headers that go into 2 mufflers and thats it. My dad also rigged it up so the mufflers can easily be screwed on and off so when i feel like waking up the neighbors i can. Hell with the mufflers on its loud and a beautiful sounding car. It's all original except for those normal upgrades. The interior and paint is all original. It's makin around 425 horses. Just a rough estimate. Dad has owned it since 1973 and is giving it to me.
