Big ole bulletproof V8
Classic styling
Literally TONS of metal
Great looks
Roomy interior (wink wink!)
Big enough to scare off a school bus
Enough trunk space for multiple bodies
Gas mileage, we don't need no stinkin' gas mileage!
I'd buy another one!Oct 09, 2009

Bought from original owner. A four door hardtop, 327 turbo 400 trans.
drove for while put mags on it an new exhaust sytem, stereo SS stripes.
Later the 283 out of the vega went in,while I rebuilt the 327, about $5000 later the 327 went back in putting out 400 horse. Went on to race at Sears Point regularly, then came NOS. we are talking 600 horse, she was running 12s in the 1/4 with slick in a 4400 pound car.Apr 16, 2008

I loved this car so. The smoothest 327 V8 under the hood that rivaled the smoothness of
any modern engine. A serious TH400 automatic transmission to put the power down.
Dual exhaust with glass packs that cackled under wide open throttle.
This car had power steering, but manual self-adjusting four wheel drum brakes.
A heavy, quiet, comfy car to drive in. Did not fatigue me like the '62 Biscayne could in
stop and go driving. Tilt steering, no A/C.
Just a great road car from the late 60s. Heavy, smooth in all respects, and larger than life.
The lines were just wonderful and everywhere I stopped it brought a crowd. On the road,
everyone loved to drive near me.Feb 14, 2008
