first year the 442 was an exclusive package, and not available chopped up with different downgrades for fitting 442 badging on base models deltas and cutlasses. they heavied up the whole thing, and kept that package as one power and drive for muscle.
great car. not a lot of them made. Apr 26, 2022

She was slick! My first car that had power anything... this car was owned by an old (respectfuly) lady who worked at a local hospital as a candy striper. When her husband died, (this was his car) she parked it and sold it to me for $900.00
It took little time to clean it up and from that point, I was bonded to this car until she was sold several years later (for a HUGE profit, I might add.. lol)Apr 24, 2013

Great car for city driving, and red light drag races.
not so good for long distance highway runs.
at 70MPH engine revs at close to 3500RPM
no power steering and no power brakes mean planning every parking lot maneuver.
but I LOVE THIS CAR Oct 21, 2011
