Performance: Can't say much there because I have a few minor things left to work on before I can get it inspected and really drive it. But the acceleration is decent, and the brakes work well. The handling is not so great though, steering wheel has a little play in it which is to be expected in a truck this old, but the lack of power steering makes the handling that much more worse. But I still love the truck.
Build: It is over 40 years old and the previous owners did not take care of the truck very well. That said, I had to tune up the engine and replace a lot of rusted out sheet metal. There were also old broken wires and all of the emergency brake cables were shot. Now that may seem like a lot to some people but this truck has been very easy to work on, fun even, and I have it almost finished and ready to be put back on the road.
Appearance: When completely restored these trucks are beautiful.
Cost: Well from what I have heard they get great gas mileage, and I know they are cheap to maintain as long as you do the work yourself anyway.
Fun: The limited amount of driving I have done it isn't much to go on but I enjoy it every time I fire up that straight six and pull it out of the garage.Jul 17, 2011

The truck was awesome to drive. A little too yellow up front, though. Didn't have a chance to put in power steering or power brakes before it's demise. It's a shame they don't make 'em like this anymore! I guess I'll have to build another one.Jan 15, 2011

It has no paint i am gonna leave it like it is to give it the rat rod lookJan 03, 2011

"67" is the only Year to have small back window and no side markers. I like that slick look. Have a 350 chevy in it. Did upgrade the front brakes to disc and changed rear axle so it is 5 hole rather than 6 bolt hole. Full off frame restore still in progressNov 14, 2010

Mostly original, 292 inline six with a three speed on the column. Not sure of the final color yet, probably going to be black with some kind of pearl. The motor has a four barrel carb, true dual headers and glass packs that are annoyingly loud!!!!Jun 09, 2010

totally restored, took out the old straight 6 and dropped in a 307 which we bored out to around 327. all racing components, which means lunati cam, summit heads, edelbrock intake and carb, aluminum rollers, pretty much anything i could find. flat black, just like my s-10. stock interior with some added gauges and tach. aroun 400 horse and maybe over 400 ft/lbs. saginaw 4 speedJun 14, 2009

I just bought my truck this past fall, after having wanted one for years. It has a 400 c.i. small block and a 350 turbo auto tranny. It is 4 wheel drive, on 3/4 ton suburban running gear and suspension. That is nt original, since c 10's are 1/2 ton, but it makes for a great hunting and 4x4ing rig!! Right now it is rather rough and ugly, but I like it that way! Eventually I hope to restore it but for now it runs and drives and I'll just leave it like it is. Jan 07, 2009

427 BB W/Edelbrock aluminum heads. 3" dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 Series race mufflers. TREMEC TKO 600. Hoping to add a NOS 150hp plate system. Currently, my truck is hideous, but it will be a slick, black death machine soon. Gas mileage is horrible, of course, but the fun factor is rediculously high...when it runs, that, is. She's my baby, so I love her in spite of her flaws.Jul 17, 2008
