Got it cause I wanted an old pickup truck. Had to replace both rear axle bearings and the throw out bearing. Did 95% of the work on it myself so very inexpensive. It had 4,000,000 +/- miles on it when I traded it in 2003. It's still going! The sterring sucked because the sterring box was worn out on it. The breaks had to be pumped always to stop. Had the engine tested and the mechanic was very impressed. All original never rebuilt motor had perfect compression on all 8 cylinders!!! I kick myself regularly for getting rid of it!!!Sep 18, 2012

Great truck, but eats up fuel pumps, go electrical.
its a heavy truck for what it is and needs sound deadening and a stereo
love the bench seat
horrible gas mileage, but what do you expect its a carburated powerhouse
awesome to drive, people love to look at it

Performance wise it is built for King Street up at bandimere. Has 460 cubic inches of big block ford...Want to stroke it out to 600 cubic inches....Natuarlly aspirated....It has been restored and it is tubbed in the rear.....Two toned Black Saphire Metallic and Aqua Blue Metallic.... This truck is really fin to driveFeb 18, 2010

this is a project that my husband and i are working on. i have the outer body pretty much done, and he has completely rebuilt a 460 and installed it. he is customizing it, and updating the interior from a newer model truck.Sep 05, 2009

300 straight 6 engine, three on a tree standard tranny, reg cab, long box, twini-beam suspsion, 2wd. It gets roughly 8-13 mpg. It cost about $100 to fill tank. The truck is fun to drive to the car shows. The truck is red and white. Every thing is all orginal.Nov 08, 2008

First vehicle, what else to say. My dad took it in on a repair dept when he ran the local texaco back in '77. It looked fairly cool in the day, but now it sits under a shed in my back yard. Should've fixed it instead of this '56 project I'm workin on...oh well.Sep 03, 2008

Just sold this because it was too light for towing, and all four drum non power brakes made it a little scary when towing especially down a long grade, the brakes would fade really badly. Otherwise the truck was fantastic, I sold it to a guy who took it to Kuwait to restore and am glad somebody will appreciate it more than meJan 09, 2008
