I hated the rust that came with the car when I first purchased it as a project car. It was so bad I almost gave up on it. But, i'm glad I stuck with it because now it looks immaculate. Apr 09, 2013

She's old, faded, and rusty, but shes still a beast and soon she'll be a beautiful
piece of machinery again. Cars were built well before the 70's, and this is no
exception, she's on her way to becoming a show car and will hopefully have a long
life with me.Jan 25, 2011

The 289 V-8 combined with C4 Cruise-O-Matic is the ultimate in spirited, economical, and reliable performance. This car like any machine needs regular maintenance, that is what makes them last. Style is a matter of taste of course but in my opinion it doesn't get much better than a 1965 Ford. And as we all know, the 1965 Ford rides quieter than a Rolls-Royce. Jul 05, 2010

This cars engine is tired. Over 200,000 miles on it and it starts right up. Has had only one repair, a leaking fuel line. Looks really nice inside and out. Gas mileage is good and is fun to drive. Thanks for looking.Aug 23, 2009

considering the car was 43 years old when i stopped
driving it to do a restoration, it's still what i rate other cars
i drive against as far as handling, braking, and comfort.
with all wheel drum brakes it stopped surprisingly quick,
topped out at 98mph... in second gear (equipped with the
3-speed Cruise-o-Matic transmission, and though it was a
tank was the most comfortable ride i could wish for. i really
miss cruisin in my baby. :'( had some of my best times in
that beast and i more than willingly paid for the 12mpg i
got on the good days... with a light foot and the wind at
my back. wouldnt trade it for ANYTHING built within the
last 20 years. never.Aug 18, 2009

Performance- My only complaint is that it's brakes are not the best, but that is what you expect from a car with all drum brakes.
Build Quality-This car is solid, and from being from 1965 it is fairly easy to repair, but becaues it is old it does need work.
Appearance-BEAUTIFUL, classic, and full of Chrome
Cost of Ownership- Pretty bad gas milage, but that is what you would expect from a car with a 390 ci V8 from 1965.
Fun Factor- So much fun to drive, and to just look at.Apr 19, 2009

Got it all original with a, late build, 352FE big block. Kept the 427 medium riser heads and swapped tham onto a 390 short block. Ended up pushing about 12:1 and cranking out about 400 hp with 500+ ft/lbs of torque.Jul 04, 2008

Note: This is not my pic, this is just what I plan on making mine look like. It is currently in my Aunt's garage, unoperational. White, Red Interior, 352 FE engine, 3 speed auto with shifter in the console. Tons of room inside... and no rear seat belts!Jan 26, 2008
