After repeated attempts over roughly two months to obtain information on a vehicle from Go Nissan North, I finally connected with Tyler Cheetham by text. After reviewing the Carfax, I pointed out there was no documented evidence of major preventative maintenance having been completed — a significant concern on an EA888 platform vehicle. I advised the vehicle would require an independent inspection at a European specialty shop, which I was prepared to arrange and pay for myself. I also explained the deferred maintenance risk justified my offer of roughly $1,000 below asking. Tyler simply replied he “can’t do that,” with no attempt to negotiate, discuss inspection, or follow up further. Weeks later, Tyler called and stated in a dismissive tone that the vehicle had “kind of SOLD.” I checked Marketplace immediately afterward and found seven active listings for the same vehicle by six salespeople at the dealership. They all replied it was still available. The vehicle remains unsold.
