What Volkswagen Golf R do most buyers choose?

The Volkswagen Golf R years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Higher-volume model years usually give you more choice in colour, mileage, and condition, which makes it easier to compare listings and find a well-priced example. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop because there are more deals to sort through.

What is the Volkswagen Golf R's resale value?

Most model years in the Golf R lineup are down year over year, which is good news if you are shopping used. The biggest drops are concentrated in older and newer examples alike, while a few years have moved down only slightly. The 2018, 2022, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
