Which Volkswagen Golf R trim should I buy?

What Volkswagen Golf R do most buyers choose?

The Volkswagen Golf R years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular because they give you more inventory to compare and a wider spread of prices and deal quality. That usually makes it easier to find the right combination of mileage, condition, and equipment.

What is the Volkswagen Golf R's resale value?

Most model years are showing negative year-over-year movement, which is helpful if you are shopping used because prices have generally softened. The largest drops are concentrated in the older and newer ends of the range, while a few years are moving down more gradually. That creates a broad spread of opportunities depending on how much you want to spend.

The 2018, 2022, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
