What should I look for when buying a used Volkswagen Atlas?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The 2026 Volkswagen Atlas recorded 10.7 litres per 100 kilometres on its test route, while Natural Resources Canada’s combined estimate for the Execline trim is 11 L/100 km and the Comfortline trim is rated at 10.7 L/100 km combined.

Which Volkswagen Atlas trim should I buy?

• Comfortline: The entry trim brings full-LED lighting, power-adjustable heated side mirrors, a trailer hitch, roof rails, leatherette seating surfaces, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 12-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It suits you if you want the most accessible way into the Atlas with a strong equipment list.
• Peak Edition: This trim adds an illuminated logo and light bar up front, all-terrain tires, unique bumpers, more rugged side sills and a rear diffuser, chrome exhaust bezels, blackout trim pieces, and a panoramic sunroof. What Volkswagen Atlas do most buyers choose?

The Volkswagen Atlas years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, price, and condition. They also sit close to the model’s newer updates, so you get a strong mix of modern features and used-market availability.

What is the Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The largest drops are especially pronounced, while the smallest declines still point to meaningful price softening. Overall, the pattern suggests there are opportunities to find value across the Atlas range.

The 2021, 2024, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
