For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is shaped by the truck’s size, diesel complexity, and the possibility of transmission-related concerns, so a careful inspection and service-history review are especially worthwhile.

What RAM 3500 do most buyers choose?

The RAM 3500 years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, more trim and configuration choices, and a newer feature set. They also sit close to the current generation’s strongest mix of capability and comfort, which makes them appealing to shoppers looking for a heavy-duty truck that still feels modern.

What is the RAM 3500's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, and several recent examples show double-digit declines. That creates a favourable setup for used buyers, especially if you are shopping newer trucks and want to benefit from softer pricing. A few years are holding up better than the rest, and one older model year is moving higher.

The 2015, 2020, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used RAM 3500 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −11.75% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −15.61%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.3% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 34.7%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2023 model has the most listings at a current average price of $68,857 CAD.
