The strongest feedback centres on its powertrain strength, spacious cabin, and overall usefulness as a tow rig.

• Owners rate the RAM 3500 between 4.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most closely tied to how the truck was used and maintained, especially on higher-mileage examples that have spent their lives towing or hauling.

What RAM 3500 do most buyers choose?

The RAM 3500 years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare, more trim and configuration choices, and a stronger chance of finding a truck that matches your budget and equipment needs. They also sit close enough to the current generation to deliver the newer cabin, technology, and capability buyers often want.

What is the RAM 3500's resale value?

The table shows broad price softening across the model years, which is good news if you're shopping used. Several recent years have seen double-digit drops, while the rest are still trending lower by meaningful amounts.

The 2018, 2020, and 2016 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used RAM 3500 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Sweet-spot year: The 2023 model has the most listings at a current average price of $68,938 CAD.
