What should I look for when buying a used Kia Telluride?
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Highway Driving Assist, which pairs adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist, with lane-change assist on higher trim levels.
- Infotainment: a 12.3-inch digital driver display next to a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system under a single piece of glass.
- Fuel efficiency: 11.6 litres per 100 kilometres over nearly 2,000 kilometres of driving, aligning almost perfectly with the Natural Resources Canada rating of 11.7 L/100 km in combined driving.
Which Kia Telluride trim should I buy?
The 2025 Kia Telluride offers these trims:
- EX: The entry point to the 2025 range, with standard AWD and the core Telluride formula for buyers who want the model’s space and style at the lowest starting price.
- SX: Adds a more premium equipment mix and is a strong step-up choice if you want more comfort and technology.
- SX Limited: Brings the most luxurious look and feel in the lineup, including chevron-pattern Nappa leather and an artificial suede headliner.
- X-Line: Adds increased ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, a self-levelling rear suspension, blacked-out styling, and exclusive wheel designs.
- X-Pro: Adds 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and increases towing capacity to 2,500 kilograms; best if you want the most off-pavement capability and towing strength.
What Kia Telluride do most buyers choose?

| 2021 | 136 | 36% |
| 2025 | 95 | 16.8% |

Higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because you get more choice in trims, colours, and mileage. They also tend to attract more cross-shopping, which can help keep pricing competitive.
What is the Kia Telluride's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 | $35,004 CAD | −23.34% |
| 2020 | $25,049 CAD | −20.75% |

Should I buy a used Kia Telluride now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −10.8% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −9.92%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 16.8% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 24.2%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2023 model has the most listings at a current average price of $42,222 CAD. The Kia Telluride offers a roomy cabin, upscale design, and a strong family-friendly character that make it easy to live with.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: Every 2025 Telluride features a 3.8-litre V6 engine that generates 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, with power sent via an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD.
- Tech: In all Canadian trims but the base EX, you’ll get a 12.3-inch digital driver display that lives next to a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system under a single piece of glass, and a 10-inch head-up display complements them when you get a Telluride SX Prestige, X-Line, or X-Pro.
- Safety: For the 2025 model year, every Telluride trim level comes standard with Highway Driving Assist, and on higher trim levels it adds a lane-change assist function.
- Starting price: You can drive home in a new Telluride EX for $53,840 CAD.
If you're buying used today, the 2023 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

The Kia Telluride has garnered strong praise from owners across all model years for its luxurious features, spacious interior, and excellent value. Many appreciate its smooth ride and numerous technology options, noting that it offers a premium feel at an attractive price. Love the look inside and out of the Telluride and all it to offer. The only thing that was holding me back from purchasing is the drive… I felt all the bumps in the road during the test drive. I personally like a more comfortable/cushiony ride.

Surprisingly, smooth ride, yet firm enough to not feel like a boat floating. Better ride than my Lincoln Aviator. Plenty of pick up but with smooth shifting. Plenty of seat adjustments to find the right spot. Im 57 155, 75 yo and a car fanatic. Its loaded with tech. But I love that. The drivers seat is a bit firm but comfortable and supportive. I researched for 6 months. I compared against all luxury midsize SUVs under 65k. Ive owned most all those luxury sports cars over the years. This is the best Ive ever owned. (Change the inside door handles, they dont fit my hand and are the only thing I can pick on that does not fit me perfectly). I love driving it, so well designed, fit and finish is excellent. Suggestion....add some real wood touches in future designes.

The 2025 Kia Telluride isn’t one of the newest three-row SUVs on the block, but it remains one of the best.
Nearly every mainstream car company offers at least one family-friendly, midsize three-row SUV. Kia has three, and the Telluride is the largest of its gas-powered models. (The electric-only EV9 is slightly larger). The Telluride debuted in 2020 to critical acclaim and commercial success. Since then, it has received several updates but not a redesign. We took a 2025 Kia Telluride on a nearly 2,000-kilometre family road trip and remain impressed with this stylish and capable Kia.
Verdict: Aging technology caused some irritation during a five-day road trip in the 2025 Kia Telluride. Otherwise, it was perfectly suited to long-distance travel whether rolling down a highway, roaming a major city, or romping down trails.
