What should I look for when buying a used Chevrolet Blazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist Package, with automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and GM’s Teen Driver monitoring system.
• Infotainment: 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio hookup.
• Fuel efficiency: With the base four-cylinder engine, the Blazer consumes an estimated 10.8 litres per 100 kilometres in city driving, 8.7 on the highway, and 9.9 combined according to Natural Resources Canada. With the V6, expect fuel economy of 12.6 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 11.0 combined.

Which Chevrolet Blazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer offers these trims:

• LT: The entry trim uses the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and it’s the best-value choice if you want the Blazer’s core style and equipment without moving up the ladder.
• True North: This trim adds more available equipment, including access to features such as wireless charging, built-in navigation, and the Bose audio system through packages.
• RS: This trim brings the 3.6-litre V6 as standard, along with an 8-inch display, wireless charging, built-in navigation, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
• Premier: This trim also gets the V6, plus the 8-inch display, wireless charging, built-in navigation, and the Bose audio system.

What Chevrolet Blazer do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Blazer years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2022.

These higher-volume model years tend to be the easiest to shop because you get more inventory to compare, which can help you find the right trim, colour, and price. They also often attract more attention from used buyers because they sit close to the sweet spot between newer features and lower prices.

What is the Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?

The table shows broad price declines across the lineup, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want more value than a new example would cost. The steepest drops are concentrated in older and mid-cycle model years, while the newest model year has fallen by a smaller amount. That pattern suggests you can find meaningful savings across most of the range, especially if you’re open to a slightly older Blazer.

The 2025, 2022, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
