What should I look for when buying a used Chevrolet Blazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist Package
• Infotainment: 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
• Fuel efficiency: With the base four-cylinder engine, the Blazer consumes an estimated 10.8 litres per 100 kilometres in city driving, 8.7 on the highway, and 9.9 combined according to Natural Resources Canada. With the V6, expect fuel economy of 12.6 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 11.0 combined.

Which Chevrolet Blazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer offers these trims:

• LT: The entry trim brings the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Chevy Safety Assist, making it the value-focused starting point.
• True North: This trim adds available wireless charging, built-in navigation, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system through package content, giving you a more upscale tech setup.
• RS: The RS adds an 8-inch digital instrument display, standard wireless charging, built-in navigation, and the eight-speaker Bose audio system, plus the sportier presentation of the test vehicle.
• Premier: The Premier also gets the 8-inch digital instrument display, standard wireless charging, built-in navigation, and the eight-speaker Bose audio system, with a more premium overall feel.

What Chevrolet Blazer do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Blazer years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2022.

These higher-volume model years tend to be the easiest to shop because you usually get more choice in trims, colours, and equipment combinations. They also give you a better chance of finding a listing that matches your budget and feature priorities.

What is the Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the lineup, which can work in your favour if you’re shopping used. Several model years have seen double-digit declines, so you may find stronger value in recent examples than you would expect from their original positioning. The smallest drops are still meaningful, but they suggest some years are softening less than others.

The 2020, 2025, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Chevrolet Blazer safe?

• 2023: 7/10
• 2022: 7/10
• 2021: 7/10

Chevy Safety Assist Package is standard on the 2023 Blazer.

For the safest used buy, the 2021, 2022 and 2023 models all post the highest confirmed score of 7/10.
