What should I look for when buying a used Cadillac XT5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Driver assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, and a vibrating safety alert seat. Higher trims add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic park assist, and the Driver Assist Package with adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.
• Infotainment: Cadillac CUE infotainment with an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless charging, and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2023 XT5’s Natural Resources Canada-rated fuel economy is lowest at 10.9 litres per 100 kilometres in city driving, 8.2 highway, and 9.7 combined for the XT5 with a turbo-four and FWD. The range-topping 3.6-litre V6 engine and AWD combine for 13.1/9.5/11.5 L/100 km city/highway/combined.

Which Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 offers these trims:

• XT5 Luxury: The entry trim starts the range with the core XT5 experience and is the best-value choice for shoppers who want the model’s space, style, and premium feel without stretching to higher-priced versions.
• XT5 Premium Luxury: This mid-range trim adds many desirable features and is the sweet spot for buyers who want a richer equipment mix.
• XT5 Sport: This trim brings the V6-equipped XT5 Sport’s sky-high MSRP and suits buyers who want the most powerful version in the lineup.

What Cadillac XT5 do most buyers choose?

The Cadillac XT5 years with the most listings are 2024, 2018, and 2023.

Higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a broader mix of prices, trims, and deal opportunities. They also give you a better chance of finding the configuration you want without waiting for new inventory.

What is the Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The XT5's used prices are down across every model year shown, which creates more room for value-focused shoppers. Several years have seen double-digit declines, so buyers can often step into a well-equipped luxury SUV at a meaningfully lower price than before. The smallest drops are still negative, but they are less severe than the steepest declines in the table.

The 2024, 2020, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
