Underwhelming. Lots of hard plastic. Not what I expected out of Buick at all.

I thought the car itself was great, pricing was the issue.

I had been looking at Cadillac but decided to look at the Buick Envista! Chose the Envista because it drove nicer at a much more reasonable price!

The features and the value is nice. It would be nicer if there were vents in the back of the car and dual air control mode. It saddens me that my 5 yo is suffering longer than I am to cool off. It breaks my heart. I absolutely hate the backup camera. When you backup at night, the camera isn’t clear AT ALL! It’s terrible. I have never seen anything like it and I’ve compared it to other vehicles. You’d think since this is a brand new vehicle the backup camera would be crystal clear when compared to older vehicles. When I back up I can’t use the camera. I have to back up the “old fashioned” way. GMC really needs to fix this issue like yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s just my Envista or all Envistas but it’s definitely a problem. It only happens at night but that would’ve prevented me from purchasing one if I had seen that. Other models I liked was the Sport model. That model was fabulous! Just a little bit above my spending range. It had more of the features that I do like but I’m just not sure about the backup camera because it was daylight. I do like my car. She’s still looks sporty without being the sports model and she’s pretty. Definitely next generation for Buick! I receive a lot of compliments and a lot of people often stare at me while I’m driving. If I can get my backup camera fixed I will be a satisfied and happy customer with my vehicle.

How much does the Buick Envista cost in today's market?

Used Buick Envista prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

2025$27,340 CAD$27,340 CAD – $31,086 CAD
2024$25,903 CAD$25,903 CAD – $28,753 CAD

The Buick Envista’s current nationwide average price is $27,132 CAD, and its lowest point over the past year was $27,132 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Buick Envista a good car?

Yes — the Buick Envista earns strong owner approval across the model years in the data, and its appeal centres on style, comfort, and value. The all-generations owner rating is 4/5 across every model year in the data.

Expert reviews rate the 2024 and 2026 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs are the slow powertrain, the cabin’s inexpensive-feeling materials, and the uneven ride and steering feel in recent expert reviews.

29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Buick Envista models reliable?

Owners consistently rate the Envista well overall, and the review data points to a model that delivers appealing design and easy-to-use technology. Recent expert coverage also highlights strong styling and useful standard equipment.

  • Owners rate the Buick Envista between 2 and 5 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk looks tied more to the model’s refinement and safety results than to any single year-specific issue.

What should I look for when buying a used Buick Envista?

Key things to evaluate:

  • Fuel efficiency: The Envista’s underlying engineering also aligns with its price tag. It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. And while Buick markets the Envista as a crossover SUV, it’s not available with all-wheel drive (AWD) — front-wheel drive (FWD) is all buyers get. Over nearly 500 kilometres of travel, our Envista test car averaged 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres, exceeding the official Natural Resources Canada rating of 7.9 L/100 km combined.

Which Buick Envista trim should I buy?

The 2026 Buick Envista offers these trims:

  • Preferred: The entry trim starts the lineup with the Envista’s core style and standard safety and tech equipment, making it the value-focused choice for shoppers who want the model’s design and features without moving up the range.
  • Sport Touring: This trim adds sportier styling touches and is the best-value pick if you want a more distinctive look while staying close to the lineup’s accessible pricing.
  • Avenir: The range-topper adds the most upscale presentation, including wireless smartphone charging, and suits buyers who want the most premium-feeling Envista.

What Buick Envista do most buyers choose?

The Buick Envista years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Those higher-volume model years tend to be the easiest to shop because you get more choice in price, condition, and equipment. They also usually give you a better chance of finding a listing that matches your budget and feature priorities.

What is the Buick Envista's resale value?

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Over-Year Change
2025$27,340 CAD−12.0%
2024$25,903 CAD−9.91%

Prices are moving lower across the model years shown, which can work in your favour if you’re shopping used. The larger drop on the newer model year suggests recent inventory has softened more quickly, while the older model year has also moved down meaningfully. That creates a more buyer-friendly market for recent Envista shoppers.

The 2024 and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Buick Envista safe?

  • 2026: 5/10
  • 2024: 7/10

Standard safety and driver assistance features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and high beam assist. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are equipped on all models.

For the safest used buy, the 2024 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

Should I buy a used Buick Envista now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

  • Price trend: The 2025 model is at −12.0% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −9.91%.
  • Deal availability: The 2025 model has 29.4% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 31.3%.
  • Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $27,340 CAD. The Buick Envista offers standout styling that gives it a more upscale presence than many small crossovers.

Consider waiting if:

  • Powertrain/efficiency: The Envista’s underlying engineering also aligns with its price tag. It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. Over nearly 500 kilometres of travel, our Envista test car averaged 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres, exceeding the official Natural Resources Canada rating of 7.9 L/100 km combined.
  • Tech: Housed within a single trapezoidal glass surface with stylish rounded corners, an 8-inch digital driver display and 11-inch touchscreen provide basic functionality. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio with a short complimentary trial subscription, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot are standard.
  • Safety: Standard safety and driver assistance features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and high beam assist. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are equipped on all models.
  • Starting price: Buick sells the 2026 Envista in Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir trim levels. In Canada, prices range from $32,049 to $36,849, including a $2,300 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
