Underwhelming. Lots of hard plastic. Not what I expected out of Buick at all.

I thought the car itself was great, pricing was the issue.

I had been looking at Cadillac but decided to look at the Buick Envista! Chose the Envista because it drove nicer at a much more reasonable price!

The features and the value is nice. It would be nicer if there were vents in the back of the car and dual air control mode. It saddens me that my 5 yo is suffering longer than I am to cool off. It breaks my heart. I absolutely hate the backup camera. When you backup at night, the camera isn’t clear AT ALL! It’s terrible. I have never seen anything like it and I’ve compared it to other vehicles. You’d think since this is a brand new vehicle the backup camera would be crystal clear when compared to older vehicles. When I back up I can’t use the camera. I have to back up the “old fashioned” way. GMC really needs to fix this issue like yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s just my Envista or all Envistas but it’s definitely a problem. It only happens at night but that would’ve prevented me from purchasing one if I had seen that. Other models I liked was the Sport model. That model was fabulous! Just a little bit above my spending range. It had more of the features that I do like but I’m just not sure about the backup camera because it was daylight. I do like my car. She’s still looks sporty without being the sports model and she’s pretty. Definitely next generation for Buick! I receive a lot of compliments and a lot of people often stare at me while I’m driving. If I can get my backup camera fixed I will be a satisfied and happy customer with my vehicle.

How much does the Buick Envista cost in today's market?

Used Buick Envista prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Round Range
2025$27,303 CAD$27,303 CAD – $31,088 CAD
2024$25,815 CAD$25,815 CAD – $28,646 CAD

The Buick Envista's current nationwide average price is $27,163 CAD, and over the past year it reached a low of $27,094 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Buick Envista a good car?

Yes — the all-generations owner rating points to a generally positive ownership experience across the model line.

The all-generations owner rating is 4/5 across every model year in the data.

Expert reviews rate the 2024 and 2026 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs centre on sluggish performance, cheap-feeling interior materials, and unimpressive safety ratings.

29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Buick Envista models reliable?

Owners consistently give the Envista a solid overall rating, and expert commentary repeatedly highlights its stylish design and easy-to-use technology. The newest expert review also points to excellent air conditioning as part of the model’s appeal.

  • Owners rate the Buick Envista between 2 and 5 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk looks tied more to the model’s refinement and safety reputation than to broad owner dissatisfaction.

What should I look for when buying a used Buick Envista?

Key things to evaluate:

  • Fuel efficiency: The Envista’s underlying engineering also aligns with its price tag. It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. And while Buick markets the Envista as a crossover SUV, it’s not available with all-wheel drive (AWD) — front-wheel drive (FWD) is all buyers get. Output (if we could call it that) measures 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm, and the Envista’s base curb weight is 1,423 kilograms (3,137 pounds) without any occupants. Over nearly 500 kilometres of travel, our Envista test car averaged 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres, exceeding the official Natural Resources Canada rating of 7.9 L/100 km combined.

Which Buick Envista trim should I buy?

The 2026 Buick Envista offers these trims:

  • Preferred: This entry trim gives you the Envista’s core style and standard driver-assistance suite, making it the starting point if you want the model’s design and everyday features at the lowest rung.
  • Sport Touring: This trim adds sportier styling touches and is the best-value choice if you want a more distinctive look without moving to the top trim.
  • Avenir: This range-topper adds the most upscale presentation, including the more sophisticated Watts link rear suspension setup and wireless smartphone charging.

What Buick Envista do most buyers choose?

The Buick Envista years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Model YearTotal ListingsGood + Great Deals %
202522229.7%
202419430.9%
202610827.8%
20272821.4%

Higher-listing model years usually give you more choice in colour, trim, and price, which can make it easier to find a well-equipped example that fits your budget. They also tend to be the years shoppers cross-shop most often, so pricing and deal activity are usually easier to compare.

What is the Buick Envista's resale value?

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Over-Year Change
2025$27,303 CAD−12.17%
2024$25,815 CAD−9.88%

Both model years show meaningful price declines, which can work in your favour if you’re shopping used. The larger drop on the newer year suggests recent inventory has softened more quickly, while the older year has also moved down at a strong pace. That pattern gives you a couple of attractive entry points if you want a recent Envista at a lower price than before.

The 2024 and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Buick Envista safe?

  • 2026: 5/10
  • 2024: 7/10

Standard safety and driver assistance features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and high beam assist. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are equipped on all models.

For the safest used buy, the 2024 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

Should I buy a used Buick Envista now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

  • Price trend: The 2025 model is at −12.17% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −9.88%.
  • Deal availability: The 2025 model has 29.7% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 30.9%.
  • Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $27,303 CAD. The Buick Envista offers a stylish, distinctive look that helps it stand out in the small-crossover class.

Consider waiting if:

  • Powertrain/efficiency: The Envista’s underlying engineering also aligns with its price tag. It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and over nearly 500 kilometres of travel, our Envista test car averaged 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres.
  • Tech: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital driver display, and an 11-inch touchscreen are standard.
  • Safety: In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are equipped on all models.
  • Starting price: In Canada, prices range from $32,049 CAD to $36,849 CAD, including a $2,300 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
