Underwhelming. Lots of hard plastic. Not what I expected out of Buick at all.

I thought the car itself was great, pricing was the issue.

I had been looking at Cadillac but decided to look at the Buick Envista! Chose the Envista because it drove nicer at a much more reasonable price!

The features and the value is nice. It would be nicer if there were vents in the back of the car and dual air control mode. It saddens me that my 5 yo is suffering longer than I am to cool off. It breaks my heart. I absolutely hate the backup camera. When you backup at night, the camera isn’t clear AT ALL! It’s terrible. I have never seen anything like it and I’ve compared it to other vehicles. You’d think since this is a brand new vehicle the backup camera would be crystal clear when compared to older vehicles. When I back up I can’t use the camera. I have to back up the “old fashioned” way. GMC really needs to fix this issue like yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s just my Envista or all Envistas but it’s definitely a problem. It only happens at night but that would’ve prevented me from purchasing one if I had seen that. Other models I liked was the Sport model. That model was fabulous! Just a little bit above my spending range. It had more of the features that I do like but I’m just not sure about the backup camera because it was daylight. I do like my car. She’s still looks sporty without being the sports model and she’s pretty. Definitely next generation for Buick! I receive a lot of compliments and a lot of people often stare at me while I’m driving. If I can get my backup camera fixed I will be a satisfied and happy customer with my vehicle.

How much does the Buick Envista cost in today's market?

Used Buick Envista prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Round Range
2025$27,305 CAD$27,295 CAD – $30,917 CAD
2024$25,717 CAD$25,717 CAD – $28,454 CAD

The Buick Envista’s current nationwide average price is $27,229 CAD, and its lowest point over the past year was $27,059 CAD. That puts the model’s recent pricing in a relatively tight band around its current average.

Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Buick Envista a good car?

Yes — the Buick Envista earns strong owner approval overall, and its style-first design gives it broad appeal for used shoppers who want something distinctive.

The all-generations owner rating is 4/5 across every model year in the data.

Expert reviews rate the 2024 and 2026 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs are the sluggish performance, the cheap-feeling interior materials, and the unimpressive safety ratings that show up in recent expert coverage.

31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Buick Envista models reliable?

Owners consistently give the Envista solid marks overall, and the expert reviews repeatedly praise its styling, easy-to-use technology, and everyday comfort. The newest expert coverage also highlights its practical packaging and strong air conditioning as part of its appeal.

  • Owners rate the Buick Envista between 2 and 5 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk looks tied more to the model’s value-focused construction and mixed expert feedback than to any single standout issue.

What should I look for when buying a used Buick Envista?

Key things to evaluate:

  • Fuel efficiency: The Envista’s underlying engineering also aligns with its price tag. It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. Over nearly 500 kilometres of travel, our Envista test car averaged 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres, exceeding the official Natural Resources Canada rating of 7.9 L/100 km combined.
  • Infotainment: Housed within a single trapezoidal glass surface with stylish rounded corners, an 8-inch digital driver display and 11-inch touchscreen provide basic functionality. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio with a short complimentary trial subscription, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot are standard.
  • Safety package: Standard safety and driver assistance features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and high beam assist. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are equipped on all models.

Which Buick Envista trim should I buy?

The 2026 Buick Envista offers these trims:

  • Preferred: The entry trim brings the core Envista formula and suits you if you want the style and technology at the lowest step in the lineup.
  • Sport Touring: This trim adds a more expressive look and is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it builds on the core package without moving to the top of the range.
  • Avenir: This trim adds the most upscale presentation and the more sophisticated Watts link rear suspension setup, making it the pick if you want the most polished version of the Envista.

Should I buy a used Buick Envista now or wait for the next model?

  • Deal availability: The 2025 model has 31% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 31.2%.
  • Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $27,305 CAD. The Buick Envista offers distinctive styling that helps it stand out in a crowded small-SUV segment.

Consider waiting if:

  • Powertrain/efficiency: The Envista’s underlying engineering also aligns with its price tag. It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and our test car averaged 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres over nearly 500 kilometres of travel.
  • Tech: Housed within a single trapezoidal glass surface with stylish rounded corners, an 8-inch digital driver display and 11-inch touchscreen provide basic functionality, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.

  • Starting price: In Canada, prices range from $32,049 CAD to $36,849 CAD, including a $2,300 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
