The 2026 BMW X3 offers these trims:

• X3 30 xDrive: The base model brings a 255-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, standard all-wheel drive, and a satisfying balance of performance and value. It suits you if you want the core X3 experience without stretching to the pricier performance model.
• X3 M50: This trim adds a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine with 393 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque, plus an M Sport rear differential, M Sport brakes, an Adaptive M suspension, variable sport steering, and an exclusive exhaust system. What BMW X3 do most buyers choose?

The BMW X3 years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right colour, mileage, and equipment mix. They also sit close to the current generation, so you get newer features and a more modern driving experience.

What is the BMW X3's resale value?

Most BMW X3 model years are down year over year, which can work in your favour if you’re shopping used. The newer years are falling too, but by smaller amounts than many older ones, so they remain pricier while still offering some room for buyers to negotiate. The steepest drops appear in several older model years, which can create stronger value opportunities if you’re comfortable with earlier equipment and mileage.

The 2024, 2023, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the BMW X3 safe?
