What should I look for when buying a used Audi SQ5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: Audi Digital Stage with an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus digital instrumentation display, a 14.5-inch OLED touchscreen for the Multimedia Interface (MMI) infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger on the Technik trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 11.4 litres per 100 kilometres combined, and we observed 11.5 L/100 km during testing.

Which Audi SQ5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 offers these trims:

• Progressiv: This trim brings the Audi Digital Stage setup with an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus display and a 14.5-inch OLED MMI touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a navigation system, SiriusXM satellite radio, Audi Assistant, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D surround-sound system, and a configurable head-up display. It suits you if you want the core SQ5 experience with a strong equipment list.
• Technik: This trim adds a 10.9-inch front-passenger touchscreen, Dynamic Interaction Lighting, and Fine Nappa leather, along with the SQ5’s most upscale cabin presentation. It suits you if you want the most richly equipped version and the most premium interior feel.

What Audi SQ5 do most buyers choose?

The Audi SQ5 years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a wider selection and more chances to find the right colour, mileage, and equipment mix. They also give you more opportunities to compare listings and spot a strong deal.

What is the Audi SQ5's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down by double digits, which creates better opportunities for used buyers than when prices are holding firm. The largest drops are concentrated in older and recent model years alike, so there is broad downward pressure across the lineup. The smallest declines are still meaningful, showing that some newer examples are retaining more of their value than others.

The 2025, 2021, and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Audi SQ5 safe?

• 2025: 4/10

The 2025 SQ5 includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. It also adds Emergency Assist and Rear Turn Assist in the MMI safety settings menu.

Should I buy a used Audi SQ5 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −10.78% versus a year ago, and the 2023 model is at −17.98%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 17.9% good and great deals, and the 2023 model has 25.3%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings. The Audi SQ5 offers a sporty, premium character with strong everyday comfort and a high-end cabin.

• Powertrain/efficiency: Audi equips the SQ5 with a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine, 362 horsepower, 406 pound-feet of torque, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 11.4 litres per 100 kilometres combined and we observed 11.5 L/100 km during testing.
