Overall, the Volkswagen Touareg has garnered positive feedback for its luxurious ride, powerful performance, and strong engineering across various model years. Owners consistently appreciate its comfort, well-designed interior, and ability to handle tough conditions with confidence, especially with its towing capabilities. However, some drivers have voiced concerns regarding high maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and the need for updated technology features. Despite these drawbacks, many view the Touareg as a solid and reliable choice in the SUV market, often comparing it to more expensive models.

262,000 miles on my Touareg and still running good. Has always been dependable. Never got stuck in snow, ice, or deep water
Penultimate SUV! V10 Diesel torque and economy, towing capability, This model VW made to show Porsche who is Boss! Exceptional off-road capability, but road ability is superb and not compromised, AND biggest 6 piston Brembo brakes in the industry. Euro paddle shifters makes this car a standout, and so much torque, that shifts are made at 1,600 rpm and rarely need to go beyond 2,500 rpm, although redline is 4,400 rpm. Make sure you have tow package if buying one, as retro-fit is very expensive! Luxury interior and controls with excellent upgrade radio, and 4 way AC controls including 4 seat heating. V10 is their monster showcase with performance, exceptional braking, good mileage, and comfort that will tackle adverse weather with ease.
Great overall vehicle. Excellent craftsmanship and finish materials. Very good off road, in the snow and plenty of power on the highway. Sad Volkswagen discontinued building it.
I owned this car for 4 years. Just fantastic. The only issue is the repair costs.
Great car. it is well engineered, thoughtfully created for enthusiastic drivers and very comfortable. I love it very much. It is the cheap little brother for the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne, but it does not lack much. It is definitely a good value.
