• Comfortline with Sport package: This version adds 18-inch alloy wheels, stainless steel pedals, an electronic differential lock, a heated wiper park, a wide sunroof, and a digital instrument cluster.

What Volkswagen Jetta do most buyers choose?

The Volkswagen Jetta years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2020.

Higher-volume model years usually give you more choice in trims, colours, and price points, which makes it easier to find a Jetta that fits your budget and feature wish list. They also tend to attract more shoppers because they balance newer equipment with a wider used-market supply.

What is the Volkswagen Jetta's resale value?

Most Jetta model years in the table are down year over year, and several are posting double-digit declines. That creates more room for used buyers to find value, especially if you are shopping recent model years. A few older years are falling by smaller amounts, which suggests they have been steadier than the rest of the range.

The 2015, 2017, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Volkswagen Jetta safe?

Should I buy a used Volkswagen Jetta now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −13.44% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −15.24%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.8% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 34.6%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $26,612 CAD. The Volkswagen Jetta offers roomy, comfortable cabin space and a big trunk, which helps explain its broad appeal.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: One thing that hasn’t changed for 2025 is the Jetta’s turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. It produces an unimpressive 158 horsepower but compensates with 184 pound-feet of sweet turbocharged torque at a low 1,750 rpm.
• Tech: With the 2025 Jetta, Volkswagen equips every trim level with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-inch digital instrumentation panel, and the Comfortline upgrades to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless smartphone charging, and a voice recognition system.
• Safety: Volkswagen equips every 2025 Jetta with IQ.Drive, which is the name for its collection of driver assistance systems and safety features.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
