All the cars features for the price point are amazing! CarPlay, a sunroof, adaptive led headlights, the list just goes on and all that for under 20k is amazing. I will add that the ac could be a little colder but my specific vehicle has no tint. Also for a “performance car” the engine is very quiet and I don’t like the “soundaktor” feature which plays false engine noise into the cabin from the speakers. I’d compare it to a Mazda speed 3, a wrx, or gr86.

CarGurus recommends the 2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI
Summary
With 130 currently listed for sale and an average price of $32,417 CAD, 37.7% of 2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI stands out because it keeps the formula that made the GTI name famous: a compact hatchback with more power and sharper dynamics than the standard Golf, but still meant to be affordable. It also carries the familiar sporty details that help separate it from the regular Golf, including red trim, plaid seats, and dual exhaust. For buyers who want a practical car with a performance edge, that combination remains the GTI’s biggest appeal.
This generation adds a more modern feel without losing the car’s character. The interior gets a standard behind-the-wheel digital display, a clean new dash, and a standard eight-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. It also uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine rated at 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Standard heated plaid cloth sports seats reinforce the GTI’s identity, while available features such as leather upholstery, ventilated seats, heated outboard rear seats, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a nine-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and navigation add extra polish.
There are a few trade-offs to keep in mind. The technology can be unintuitive, prices can be high, and it is smaller than most SUVs. Even so, the 2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI remains appealing because it blends everyday usability, strong handling, and a distinctive hot-hatch personality in a package that still feels special.
