What should I look for when buying a used Volkswagen Golf GTI?

• GTI: The base trim brings 18-inch wheels, standard navigation, voice commands, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, a ventilated 15W wireless charging pad, keyless entry, and the 12.9-inch touchscreen. It suits buyers who want the core GTI experience with strong equipment value.

What Volkswagen Golf GTI do most buyers choose?

The Volkswagen Golf GTI years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right colour, trim, and price. They also sit close to the newest generation of the GTI, so you get a strong mix of modern features and used-car value.

What is the Volkswagen Golf GTI's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you are shopping used and want to benefit from softer pricing. The newer GTI years are also seeing meaningful declines, so recent-model shoppers may find better value than they did a year ago. A few years are falling more sharply than others, but the overall pattern still favours buyers.

The 2020, 2015, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
