The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack has been well-received by drivers for its outstanding handling, comfortable interior, and all-wheel drive capability, making it a great choice for those seeking versatility and fun in their daily drives. Many appreciate the car's features, especially the enjoyable manual transmission option, which adds to the overall driving experience. However, some drivers express disappointment with fuel efficiency and voice concerns about reliability issues, particularly with the panoramic sunroof in certain model years.

Amazing traction, beautiful interior, good German engineering. Great value. Doesnt have sensors for cars getting too close or blind spot detection

For my purposes, the Golf Alltrack is a near perfect vehicle. It is not gross and large, yet its interior room is greater than many SUVs. The handling is responsive and sure. While there was no means of testing the Alltrack capabilities, I would assume that it would meet situations of snow with great aplomb. The acceleration and driving characteristics were excellent. Fit and finish both inside and out were equally superb. Unless you absolutely NEED an offroad vehicle (and exactly how often are you really going to use that offroad potential that you were seduced into buying?) I cannot imagine a better or more practical vehicle. The car is a good value. For those who want an automatic transmission, it is available. I would place the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack far ahead of the Subaru offerings in both handling, acceleration and fit and finish.

This is my second VW. I also own a 2016 Golf S w/sunroof, larger tires(Continental DWS6) and after market wheels. It is sometimes mistaken for a GTI. The Alltrack handles just as well and seems to hold a tighter line on expressway ramps. Have only had it 4 days and already exceeding gas-mileage that was expected (averaging 32MPG on back roads). Anticipate higher mileage on the highway when cruise is set. Only thing I miss is satellite radio. Should have been standard on all trims. Build quality is very high. Never considered anything else. Great value for the money. Already planning upgrades (sun shades, bumper skuff guard, LED headlight bulbs.) Expect this car to last far into my retirement.
