What should I look for when buying a used Porsche Macan?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The Macan S model’s as-tested fuel consumption number of 13.0 L/100 km came close enough to the official Natural Resources Canada rating of 12.2 L/100 km to call it good.
• Infotainment: Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with a 10.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, a navigation system, and connected services.

Which Porsche Macan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche Macan offers these trims:

• Macan: The entry model brings the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, plus the refreshed styling and updated interior; it suits you if you want the most accessible way into the range.
• Macan T: This trim adds the same 2.0-litre engine, standard Porsche Active Suspension Management, and a sportier feel, making it the best-value choice for buyers who want sharper dynamics without moving up to the V6 models.
• Macan S: The Macan S adds the twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, along with newly standard PASM adaptive damping air suspension and larger 20-inch wheels.
• Macan GTS: The GTS adds the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 with 434 hp and 406 lb-ft, carrying the high-output powertrain into the top performance-focused trim.

What Porsche Macan do most buyers choose?

The Porsche Macan years with the most listings are 2025, 2018, and 2017.

These higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right colour, mileage, and equipment mix. They also often sit in the sweet spot between newer features and more accessible pricing.

What is the Porsche Macan's resale value?

Most Macan model years are down year over year, and several have seen double-digit declines. That pattern can work in your favour as a used buyer because it opens up more value in the market. The newest model year is changing the least, while older years show larger drops.

The 2025, 2019, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Porsche Macan safe?

In Canada, every 2022 Porsche Macan has lane-departure warning and the federally mandated reversing camera as standard features.
