(15 reviews)Great car with 318 engine 727 Torqueflite transmission 58k original miles.
My 1964 Plymouth Fury was one of my favorites. The stock motor was replaced by a 413 cubic inch torque monster. A dash mounted push button shifter transferred power to a 4:10 8 3/4 inch Sure-Grip rear end. This 4000 pound beast annihilated many a Mustang, Camaro, etc...The shock on the owners faces when the light turned green never ceased to bring a huge smile to my face!
I loved the fact that it was ( at one time ) a Mi. State Police car. It had the 440 interceptor in it. I could cruise at a 100 mph all day, and never bother that motor. So was it fun to drive? Hell yes!! Of course when I owned this car gas was just $ 1.25 a gallon.
She is a very nice crusier, won alot of trophies in my class,Love the fasttop, roomy, comfortable, turns like a dream and I get alot of thumps up.Braking is just fine,so-so acceleration, handles like a dream.Appearance: LOVE IT. Maintenance:LOW, Fun factor: HIGH she is a fun car to drive ,she loves the interstate.
I had a navy blue one in 1983. Young and foolish - traded the 77 Mini for this boat. Couldn't afford the gas.
