The 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 consists of a 455ci V8 rated conservatively at 390hp and 500ft/lbs of torque. I would personally get one with the factory 4 speed manual transmission. Runs 0-60 in 5.3 sec and the 1/4mi in 13.2 @ 107 mph. comes complete with A/C, AM/FM 8 track casette, vinyl interior, bucket seats, full gauges, posi-traction rear differential, rallye wheels, rallye stripes, functional ram air hood, and fiberglass rear decklid spoiler.
amazing hurst-olds, in the second year they made them. balanced and blueprinted engine, special paint job, racing mirrors, and of course hood.
A classic, Though mine is not a true 442, it is however undergoing full restoration as a 442 clone, to be dropped in it is my fully rebuilt 7.2 L 455ci Olds rocket, rated at 400 naturally aspirated horsepower. This car is most like a Chevelle, but not as common. It's orignal colour was hugger Orange with Black pin stripes, now painted red with black stripes. its a 4 barrel, 4 speed, dual exhaust. It's a classic beast.
This car is soon to be a classic. No more olds,Last of the real 442's In 2012 it will be 25 years. So i feel it's worth what i put into it.Even though it's not that old it is realy a fun car to drive and it gets a lot of looks.
I love this car i got it when i was 16 its been my own restoration project. it runs perfectly nothing is wrong with it running wise but they only problem is up here in michigan is the rust factor the bottom of the car is full of holes and rust it is going to be a long time befor i can get this car fully patched up and ready for paint
