The Nissan 280ZX has garnered a lot of love from owners across its model years for its impressive handling, classic design, and overall fun driving experience. Many drivers appreciate the performance, particularly praising the turbo engine and excellent cornering ability, along with good fuel economy. Comfort features like power windows and T-tops enhance its appeal. However, some owners wish for more power and have noted that the brakes could be better. Overall, it remains a favorite among enthusiasts, despite some minor drawbacks.

the paint i think might be original on mine, and the body is gorgeous. the 2800 cc straight-six only puts out 153 ponies from the factory, but the car only weighs 2400 lbs, so there isn't all that much to push. Another advantage of being so light is the handling, which is amazing, even on mid-grade tires. the braking is great. i have never locked the tires up (has no ABS). the grand luxury trim is LOADED with so many things that were ahead of its time. Many of the features still aren't standard on many modern cars. would recommend to any classic Asian sport scar lover!
i had the 280zx turbo.. straight 6 with Garrett T3 turbo at 13psi boost.. i loved this car so much.. it hugs the road and peels out with no effort... this car was a beast and i used to spank the crap out of mustangs and camaros v8s.. this car only weighed just over 2000 lbs and would fly.. 150mph is pretty intense.. and that wasnt even redline.. 2.454 Rear diff. made burnouts a breeze!
There was nothing bad to say about this car at all. Handles like a true sports car, accelerated very well and was extemely comfortable on long trips. A true GT car. I am over 6 feet tall and had plenty of room.
This is my baby. I pretty much just use this car for racing sometimes go on a cruise. Ive had this car the longest out of all the other cars Ive owned. I would recommend this car to anyone. Peace.
Please. It's a classic. What's not to love? And by the way, it's a Datsun, not a Nissan. It even holds up by todays standards, cornering like a fiend and having just the right amount of power to come out of a corner strong but not so much that you produce wheel spin. It's relatively cheap to maintain, great looking, good sounding unique piece of corvette eatin' history.
