• Safety package: class-exclusive centre airbag; adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring with exit assist, emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition

Which Mercedes-Benz CLA trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA offers these trims:

• CLA 250+: The single-motor version delivers 268 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, uses an 85-kWh battery, and pairs with a two-speed transmission for a comfortable, efficient drive; it suits buyers who want the entry point to the new electric CLA.
• CLA 350 4Matic: The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version adds 349 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, plus quicker acceleration; it suits buyers who want the strongest performance in the lineup.

What Mercedes-Benz CLA do most buyers choose?

The Mercedes-Benz CLA years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2024.

These higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because you get more inventory to compare and a better chance of finding the right colour, equipment, and price combination. They also tend to attract more attention from shoppers, which helps explain why they show up so often in used-car searches.

What is the Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

Most CLA model years are down year over year, and several recent examples show especially sharp declines. That creates a favourable setup for used buyers, since the table points to broad price softening across much of the lineup. A few newer years are close to flat, which suggests some models are stabilising after earlier drops.

The 2021 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2021, 2022, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mercedes-Benz CLA safe?

• 2026: 8/10

The CLA gets a class-exclusive centre airbag that comes standard on every CLA model.

For the safest used buy, the 2026 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.

Should I buy a used Mercedes-Benz CLA now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −26.16% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −28.02%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 34.8% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 35.6%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $40,501 CAD. The Mercedes-Benz CLA offers a stylish, premium cabin with a smooth, relaxed character that makes it feel more upscale than its size suggests.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest CLA pairs an 85-kWh battery with either 268 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque or 349 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, and Mercedes says the car can go from 10 percent to 80 percent charge in 22 minutes.
• Tech: It brings a 10.25-inch driver display, a 14-inch centre display, MB.OS, augmented-reality navigation, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Safety: The latest model adds a class-exclusive centre airbag and standard driver aids including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring with exit assist, emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition.
• Starting price: Mercedes has not yet released pricing for the electric CLA, but it is expected to start right around $60,000 CAD.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
