Absolutely the best car I have ever owned! I bought it in 2015 as a certified pre-owned vehicle and never once did I have any mechanical issues other than just this year the pump for the windshield wiper fluid finally went out. However, my boyfriend and I were able to repair that on our own. I planned on keeping this car a good long time as I take care of my vehicles. Unfortunately I was rear-ended in October and the vehicle was totaled. Im putting my faith once again into Hyundai and buying a certified pre-owned 2020 Kona that I have researched heavily. I loved my Elantra and found it to be an excellent vehicle. I very much hope to have the same exact experience with my Kona as when I test drove a 2018 which had the same engine as the 2020 I found it extremely responsive, fantastic breaking, smooth ride even on bumpy bad roads, major safety features, very powerful, and felt just like my Elantra to drive.

Why it stands out
The 2023 Hyundai Elantra stands out for offering a wide range of personalities in one compact sedan. According to the test-drive summary, it can serve as basic transportation, a 4.7 L/100 km hybrid loaded with features, or one of the best sports sedans you can buy on a budget. That breadth is a major part of its appeal, especially for shoppers who want a car that can be efficient, practical, or more engaging without leaving the model line.
It is also described as roomy, safe, efficient, and technologically advanced, which gives it a strong all-round case for buyers who might otherwise be looking at an SUV. The listed strengths reinforce that impression: multiple powertrain options, easy-to-use technology, and excellent value for money. At the same time, the design may be polarising, and owner feedback suggests some concerns about interior quality and noise, with comments about cheap-feeling materials and rattling noises.
