These are great now they are coming down in price. For the most part the GMT900 platform is rock solid. There are some quirky things that come with this platform, nothing major. Make sure to keep up on the maintenance and ensure all fluids are full. I’ve had 3 units Silverado, Tahoe and Yukon xl combined mileage around 500k. By far the lowest cost used vehicle to own. The only serious bad thing about these and reason for 3 stars is the body. GM didn’t use any rust preventative or e-coated panels anywhere on these. Rust forms in the rockers and wheel openings. I know I mentioned maintenance above but make sure to keep up on maintenance and oil changes by 5k miles regardless of what the oil life monitor says. Change tout the battery every couple of years, the accessories are power hungry and kill batteries.

CarGurus recommends the 2023 GMC Yukon XL
Summary
With 100 currently listed for sale and an average price of $71,131 CAD, 29.0% of 2023 GMC Yukon XL listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2023 GMC Yukon XL 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2023 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, flexibility, and a more upscale feel than many buyers expect from something this large. It benefits from the fourth-generation Yukon XL’s longer wheelbase, which adds passenger and cargo room, and from the independent rear suspension that improves ride and handling while helping create a more comfortable third row and more cargo capacity. For shoppers who need a big SUV that can genuinely carry people and luggage with ease, that combination is a major part of its appeal.
For 2023, the Yukon XL also offers a strong mix of equipment and powertrain choices. The available 3.0-litre Duramax turbo-diesel engine is especially appealing for buyers who want better fuel economy, while the Denali Ultimate trim sits at the top of the range with luxury-focused features and Super Cruise available as an option. The model’s standard and available technology is broad as well, with features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Built-In, and a 12-inch driver information centre mentioned in the source material for this generation. Owners also tend to praise the 2023 GMC Yukon XL for its spaciousness, style, drivability, and value compared with pricier alternatives.
Its drawbacks are the ones you would expect from a vehicle of this size. The Yukon XL is not especially efficient overall, and the source material also points to poor handling compared with car-based crossovers. Some owners have noted concerns about electrical issues and rearview mirror functionality, so while the 2023 GMC Yukon XL is appealing for its room, comfort, and available luxury, it is still a large SUV with the usual trade-offs.
