Is the Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the Chevrolet Tahoe is a strong choice if you want a full-size SUV with broad appeal, and its all-generations owner rating backs that up. The all-generations owner rating is 4.5/5 across every model year in the data.

Even so, the Tahoe’s mix of space, capability, and comfort keeps it appealing for shoppers who want a large SUV that can handle daily family duty and heavier jobs.

29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Which Chevrolet Tahoe trim should I buy?

What Chevrolet Tahoe do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Tahoe years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, mileage, and price combination. They also sit in the sweet spot where newer features and broader availability often overlap.

What is the Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

Most Tahoe model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The largest drops are concentrated in older and mid-cycle years, while a few newer examples are still falling at a meaningful pace. One model year is moving up, but the overall pattern still favours buyers looking for value.

The 2015, 2023, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Chevrolet Tahoe safe?

Chevy includes a standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems suite on every Tahoe, with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system.

For the safest used buy, the 2021 model posts the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
