This truck started out as my dad's work truck for the farm, and when I turned 16 it became mine, and now it has 180,000 miles and the only thing that had to be replaced was the fuel pump at 150000. It is an absolute tank and one of the best trucks I have ever driven. The 6.0 is a great engine with lots of power, and mpg isn't great but not too bad at 14.5

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4X4 6.6L Turbo HD LS with the Duramax Diesel has Allison automatic transmission, cloth seats, power heated outside rear mirrors that extend out for towing, dual climate controls, center console/armrest, electronic 4-wheel drive engagement, auto dimming rear view mirror, cruise, adjustable tilt steering wheel ABS 4 wheel disc brakes, and a whole lot more! My truck averages 20 mpg. The diesel engine always starts well in cold weather. Engine is quiet! Cab interior is quiet and road noise is very low. Comfortable seating, even for driving long distances. Visibility is good. Controls are within easy reach. The stereo audio sound quality is awesome (I enhanced mine)! Brake performance is good. Steering is responsive. Electronic transfer from 2WD to 4WD is seamless. Instrument panel clearly visible and well illuminated during night driving.
