The cost could not be justified by Bentley for the many hours of manual labour, and the classic V8 could no longer meet the standards demanded by the green crowd. A tough purchase new when faced with a couple hundred grand depreciation even if you hardly drive it more than 5k for the first four or five years, which make it a spectacular used buy. However the appeal to Millennials is just not there for an outdated big gas guzzler luxury car when they can purchase a big modern gas guzzling SUV, but look cool. Go figure.
