Acceleration to 60 mph is about 19 seconds. The car is slow because it only has the power it needs (90 hp)it is appropriate. Braking is adequate but you had better be paying attention to what is far ahead of you. These cars need to be driven thoughtfully. No antilock braking here! Handles like a dream, nimle turning radius. The car is quiet at speed. No squeeks or rattles. You can easily speak to passengers with the windows down and the vent windows open... its erie. Styling is great, both inside and out. People love this little car, always gets smiles. Change the oil every 3 thousand miles, no oil filter on the car. Adjust the valves every 10 thousand miles. Grease the joints with each oil change. The car reliably gets 22 mpg. If driven carefully with the 3 speed manual and using the auto overdrive, the car is capable of far better. Mobile gas milage fuel champion in 1958, they got more than 36 mpg but they did not exceed 40 miles per hour. The heater is exceptional, no cold toes here. The car is fun, fun fun!!!

awesome, so ugly its cute! Gets me where i need to go. Doesnt accelerate fast, or go around corners well. Not high performance just goes down the road. 18 mpg, no major expenses. BUT ITS THE FUNNEST CAR IVE ever driven. My little hippy chic car...

This was and probably will always be my favorite car. I had so many good timesdriving this and riding friends around in it. Playing the portable boombox for all to hear. But I did have a couple of misfortunes with this car also.

It's a forty-six year old economy car. It leaks a bit and has no carpeting, but everywhere I drive it people smile and give me the thumbs-up. The brakes are very strong for unboosted drums and the handling, while quirky, is predictable. It's picked up some squeaks and rattles over the years but overall it's a good weekend cruising car, and VERY easy for the shadetree mechanic to repair.

I got this car from a mate. It was his dads car and has sat unused for the last 23 years. It's rough. It needs a complete ground up rebuild. Everything is there and there is very little rust so it should be quite easy.
