New & Used 2027 Kia Seltos for Sale near Southwold, ON

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2027 Kia Seltos earns an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It stands out as a subcompact crossover with a more rugged personality, a larger footprint than some rivals, and a cabin that feels more premium than you might expect. Kia’s design cues from the Telluride give it a boxier, more upright stance, while the added space translates into best-in-class rear legroom and a useful cargo area. The technology is a major strength too, with a 30-inch panoramic display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a generative AI assistant.

The trade-offs are mostly in the driving experience. The standard engine is slow when you need to merge, pass, or climb, and the ride can feel soft and springy at times.

With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is presented as a brand-new model with a generous standard equipment list and Kia’s 5-year/100,000-kilometre nearly bumper-to-bumper warranty. The expert assessment also points to a well-built cabin, intuitive controls, and a strong emphasis on safety and convenience technology.

Its standard driver-assistance suite is broad, and the hands-on-detection steering wheel helps reduce nuisance warnings when lane centring is active. Kia Connect also adds convenience features through a trial subscription.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the newest model-year hardware and software may still be proving itself in real-world use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Kia Seltos?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX is the one to watch for feature gaps, since the higher trims add more of the premium feel and advanced equipment that make the Seltos stand out.
• Powertrain: Non-X-Line models use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with a CVT, and the standard setup is described as adequate for typical driving but slow when you ask more of it. X-Line trims switch to a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic and torque-vectoring AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Highway Driving Assist comes on the EX Premium grade, while Highway Drive Assist 2 is exclusive to the X-Line Limited.
• Infotainment: The standard infotainment touchscreen is 12.3 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. The 12.3-inch driver display and 5-inch climate panel are not standard on every trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The X-Line Limited is rated at 9.0 L/100 km in combined city and highway driving, and it averaged 8.9 L/100 km on the evaluation route.

Which 2027 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX Premium, X-Line, and X-Line Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Seltos’s core space, style, and standard safety tech. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it is also the trim most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• EX: This is the first step up if you want a better balance of everyday comfort and value. It adds more of the polished, premium-feeling character that defines the Seltos without jumping all the way to the top-end pricing.
• EX Premium: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it brings Highway Driving Assist into the mix while staying below the more expensive X-Line models.
• X-Line: Choose this if you want the turbocharged 1.6-litre engine, stronger performance, and the more distinctive X-Line setup. It is the right pick if driving feel matters more to you than keeping costs down.
• X-Line Limited: This is the fully loaded choice, with the fanciest displays, premium audio, ventilated front seats, camera-based visibility aids, Highway Drive Assist 2, a surround-view camera system, and rear automatic braking. It is the one to buy if you want the most complete Seltos experience and are willing to pay for it.

Standard blind-spot monitoring is included across the lineup, while the more advanced camera-based blind spot view and Highway Drive Assist 2 are reserved for the X-Line Limited.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2027 Kia Seltos has not yet been rated by either IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

You get a generous standard safety package across all trim levels in Canada, including forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Kia’s Highway Driving Assist comes on the EX Premium grade, while Highway Drive Assist 2 is exclusive to the X-Line Limited.

A notable shortcoming is that blind-spot warning is not standard in the way some shoppers might expect from a vehicle with this much safety tech.

Should I buy a 2027 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• The 2027 model adds a hybrid powertrain, a larger footprint, more passenger space, best-in-class rear legroom, and a more advanced cabin and safety-tech package.

If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to wait for more market movement or focus on the trims that deliver the best mix of equipment and value.
