New & Used 2027 Kia Seltos for Sale nearNanaimo, BC

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2027 Kia Seltos earns an 8.2/10 expert rating, and it comes across as a strong choice if you want a subcompact SUV that feels roomier and more upscale than many rivals. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

The redesigned Seltos is described as roomy inside, with a generous cargo area, and it brings advanced infotainment and safety technology that helps it set a new standard in its segment. It also has a stylish, more distinctive look than a typical subcompact SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: the standard engine is sluggish, and the ride can feel soft and springy at times. It also lacks standard blind-spot warning.

With 36.7% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a moderate amount of market choice if you’re shopping carefully.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is presented as a well-rounded new model with a generous warranty and a strong feature set, which helps support confidence for everyday use. Its expert assessment also points to a roomy cabin, useful cargo space, and advanced technology as part of its appeal.

The powertrain is described as adequate for typical small-SUV driving, but the standard engine is also called sluggish, especially when merging, passing, or climbing hills. The upcoming hybrid is framed as the more appealing long-term direction for buyers who want better efficiency and a more satisfying drive.

Kia’s 5-year/100,000-kilometre nearly bumper-to-bumper warranty adds a useful ownership cushion, and the three-year Kia Connect trial is another perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the current gas powertrain may leave you wanting more refinement and efficiency over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Kia Seltos?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX is the one to watch most closely because it has standard front-wheel drive, while all other versions get all-wheel drive. The higher trims add more premium equipment, and the top X-Line Limited brings the most upscale cabin and the most advanced visibility aids.
• Powertrain: Non-X-Line models use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with a CVT. It makes 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, and it can feel slow in harder driving. X-Line trims switch to a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, an eight-speed automatic, and torque-vectoring AWD with a 4WD Lock function and Terrain mode.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Highway Driving Assist comes on the EX Premium, while Highway Drive Assist 2 is exclusive to the X-Line Limited.
• Infotainment: The standard infotainment touchscreen is 12.3 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. The panoramic display with the digital instrument panel and climate panel is not standard, so you should check whether the trim you’re considering has the full display setup.
• Fuel efficiency: The X-Line Limited’s official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres in combined city and highway driving, and it averaged 8.9 L/100 km on the evaluation route.

Which 2027 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX Premium, X-Line, and X-Line Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Seltos experience at the lowest price. It has standard front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available, but it is also the trim most likely to remind you that the base model is the affordable one.
• EX: This is the first step up if you want a more complete everyday package without jumping all the way to the top trims. It keeps the Seltos’ roomy, stylish character while adding more substance than the LX.
• EX Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want a stronger technology and driver-assistance mix, because it adds Highway Driving Assist while staying below the more expensive X-Line models.
• X-Line: Choose this if you want the turbocharged engine and a more energetic driving feel. It also brings the more sophisticated AWD hardware and is the better pick if performance matters more to you than value.
• X-Line Limited: This is the fully loaded choice, with the fanciest dashboard displays, Harman Kardon premium audio, ventilated front seats, camera-based visibility aids, and Highway Drive Assist 2. It is the right pick if you want the most features and don’t mind paying for them.

Standard driver-assistance features are generous across the lineup, but Highway Driving Assist starts on the EX Premium and Highway Drive Assist 2 is limited to the X-Line Limited.

Is the 2027 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2027 Kia Seltos is equipped with a generous list of standard driver-assistance features, but crash-test ratings had not been published at the time of writing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking with intersection turning assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Kia’s Highway Driving Assist comes on the EX Premium, while Highway Drive Assist 2, which can also assist with lane changes, is exclusive to the X-Line Limited.

The X-Line Limited also adds a camera-based blind spot monitor, a surround-view camera system, additional side parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. One caveat is that the standard blind-spot warning is not included on every trim in the way some shoppers may expect.

Should I buy a 2027 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2027 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2027 if: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Choose the 2027 if: the redesigned model’s roomy cabin, generous cargo area, and advanced infotainment and safety tech are what matter most to you.

The bottom line: If you want the most modern Seltos shape, the strongest tech story, and a cabin that feels more substantial than the segment norm, the 2027 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, especially if you can find a better deal on a well-equipped example.
