New & Used 2027 Honda Passport for Sale near Gooderham, ON

Is the 2027 Honda Passport a good car?

The 2027 Honda Passport earns a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It stands out as a family-focused two-row SUV that leans into capability and practicality, with standard all-wheel drive, a standard V6 engine, and a roomy cabin with useful storage cubbies and compartments. For 2027, the TrailSport trims — the exclusive offering in Canada — gain upgraded suspension and extra ground clearance, which gives the Passport a more rugged edge for buyers who want a practical SUV that can handle rougher terrain.

The main trade-offs are its uncomfortable seats and awkwardly placed grab handles, along with a high price. Even so, the Passport’s standard equipment list is unusually long for the class, and 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2027 Honda Passport reliable?

The 2027 Honda Passport is presented as a straightforward, traditional SUV with a standard V6 and standard all-wheel drive, which supports a simple, familiar ownership experience. Honda also positions it as a practical family vehicle with a strong emphasis on standard equipment and everyday usability.

Its performance notes point to a smooth-feeling engine with enough torque for low-speed off-road manoeuvres, and the TrailSport’s reworked suspension and added ground clearance suggest a more robust setup for rough roads. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a lot of standard equipment for the money, including premium-feeling features that are often optional elsewhere.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Passport’s high purchase price leaves less room for error if you need to budget for repairs or depreciation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Honda Passport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: All Canadian trims come in TrailSport configuration, with orange front recovery hooks, TrailSport badging, all-terrain tires, and amber hood-scoop lights. Lower trims use easy-to-clean leatherette seating surfaces, while TrailSport Touring trims add perforated leather.
• Powertrain: You get a standard V6 with 280 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It is smooth on the highway and has enough low-speed torque for off-road manoeuvres, but it makes 5 hp and 4 lb-ft less than the 2026 model.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, road departure mitigation, and a driver attention monitor. Standard safety equipment also includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, a rear seat reminder, and the multi-view camera system.
• Infotainment: Standard tech includes a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, Google built-in, and a power liftgate with programmable height.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2027 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2027 Honda Passport is offered in 2 trim levels: TrailSport and TrailSport Touring.

Here's the short version:

• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim. It gets the standard TrailSport setup, the standard V6, standard all-wheel drive, the TrailWatch camera system, ambient lighting, heated power-folding side mirrors, and the full safety suite. If you do not need premium audio, leather seats, or heated rear seats, this is the trim that makes the most sense.
• TrailSport Touring: Choose this if you want the more upscale equipment. It adds a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, heated outboard rear seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a hands-free and walk-away-close liftgate, along with perforated leather seating surfaces.

Every Passport comes standard with Honda Sensing, plus blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, a rear seat reminder, and the multi-view camera system.
