New & Used 2026 Toyota Camry for Sale nearSault Ste. Marie, ON

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 7.8/10 from experts. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The 2026 Toyota Camry is built around practicality rather than flash, and that fits you well if you want a familiar midsize sedan that is affordable, efficient, and safe. It is one of the few remaining midsize sedans on sale in North America, and it is positioned as a car that is cheap to own and known for dependability.

It is also described as comfortable and good to drive, which helps offset its more restrained personality. The trade-offs are clear: the styling is uninspired, cargo space is limited, and the stereo is lacking.

For Canadian shoppers, the market signal is still reasonably healthy, with 37.1% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Camry is presented as a dependable, easy-to-live-with hybrid sedan, and its expert assessment reinforces that reputation with strong marks for cost effectiveness and safety. The hybrid powertrain is described as tried-and-true, and the car’s overall appeal is tied to being simple, frugal, and dependable.

Toyota also includes connected-service coverage with a five-year trial for Service Connect and Safety Connect, plus a three-year trial for Remote Connect and Drive Connect on eligible trims. That adds some ownership convenience, especially if you value remote access and emergency support.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about a known mechanical weakness and more about whether the car’s modest cabin and cargo compromises fit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE FWD is the entry point, while the SE Upgrade AWD adds more equipment and the Nightshade package brings satin black 19-inch wheels and gloss black exterior detailing. The XLE AWD and XSE AWD sit higher in the range, with the XSE also getting a sport-tuned suspension.
• Powertrain: Every 2026 Camry uses a hybrid system built around a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and electric motors. FWD models make 225 horsepower, while AWD versions add a rear motor and increase output to 232 hp.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every trim and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, road sign assist, and high beam assist. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit warning are also standard.
• Infotainment: More affordable trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 12.3-inch touchscreen is reserved for the XLE and XSE in Canada, and it adds cloud-based navigation, destination assistance, and an Intelligent Assistant voice system.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy ranges from 5.0 to 5.5 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, depending on trim and drivetrain. FWD Camrys are rated at 5.0 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: SE FWD, SE Upgrade AWD, XLE AWD, and XSE AWD.

Here's the short version:

• SE FWD: This is the most affordable way into the Camry lineup, and it still gives you the standard hybrid powertrain, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 8-inch touchscreen. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost Camry experience.
• SE Upgrade AWD: This is the best-value trim if you want the added traction of AWD and a more distinctive look without jumping to the top of the range. It is also the trim that can be paired with the Nightshade package, which adds the blacked-out styling touches.
• XLE AWD: Choose this if you want the more upscale equipment level and the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen. It is the trim for buyers who care more about comfort and tech than sporty styling.
• XSE AWD: This is the most expressive choice, with a sport-tuned suspension and the same larger touchscreen setup as the XLE. It suits you best if you want the Camry’s efficiency and safety with the sharpest road manners in the lineup.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim for the core safety suite.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2026 Camry earns five-star ratings from NHTSA in every individual assessment, and the IIHS names it a Top Safety Pick+.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every 2026 Camry and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, road sign assist, and high beam assist. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit warning are also standard.

Proactive Driving Assist is part of the package as well, and it can help monitor following distances and avoid obstacles even when adaptive cruise control is not active.

A few caveats are worth noting: lane-centring can feel unnatural in some curves, and the adaptive cruise control can scrub off too much speed in tighter bends.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a sporty Nightshade Edition package for the SE Upgrade AWD and a new Cosmos Blue paint colour.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It introduced the Camry’s new hybrid-only formula, fresh styling, and updated technology.

The bottom line: If you want the latest Camry with its current trim mix and minor 2026 updates, the 2026 is the straightforward choice. If you are shopping mainly on price, a 2025 may be worth a look because it already brought the major redesign-era changes and could be the better-value route.
