New & Used 2026 Toyota Camry for Sale nearSaint John, NB

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and our experts rate it 7.8/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The 2026 Toyota Camry is built around practicality, which is exactly what makes it distinctive. It is affordable, efficient, and safe, and it remains one of the few midsize sedans still sold in North America. In Canada, it is available in four trim levels, and each one comes with a standard hybrid powertrain. That combination gives the Camry a clear appeal if you want a straightforward daily driver with low running costs and a strong safety reputation.

It is also described as comfortable and good to drive, with easy-to-use technology adding to its everyday appeal. The Camry’s strengths are reinforced by its fuel efficiency and great safety ratings, while its drawbacks are more about character and practicality than capability: the styling is uninspired, cargo space is limited, and the stereo is lacking. For shoppers who value dependability and efficiency over excitement, the 2026 Toyota Camry makes a sensible case for itself.

33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Toyota Camry is presented as cheap to own, dependable, and easy to live with. Its hybrid-only setup is described as tried-and-true, and the car’s overall appeal is reinforced by its practical focus and strong safety reputation. The performance commentary also points to a powertrain that feels robust and quick enough that many owners won’t wish it were quicker.

Toyota’s cost-effectiveness notes also frame the Camry as a simple, frugal, and dependable car, which is exactly the kind of ownership profile many used buyers want. If you’re shopping used, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about whether the Camry’s modest character and limited cargo space fit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE FWD is the entry point, while the SE Upgrade FWD package adds equipment, the SE Upgrade AWD with Nightshade package adds a sportier look, and the XLE AWD and XSE AWD sit higher in the range. The base setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen and a six-speaker audio system, while the Nightshade version adds satin black 19-inch wheels, gloss black exterior detailing, and a black interior with SofTex artificial leather upholstery.
• Powertrain: Every 2026 Camry uses a hybrid system built around a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and electric motors. Front-wheel-drive models produce 225 horsepower, while AWD versions add a rear electric motor and increase output to 232 hp. Fuel consumption ranges from 5.0 to 5.5 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, depending on trim and drivetrain.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, road sign assist, and high beam assist. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit warning, and Proactive Driving Assist are also standard.
• Infotainment: More affordable trims get an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 12.3-inch touchscreen is reserved for the XLE and XSE models in Canada, and it adds cloud-based navigation, destination assistance, and Intelligent Assistant voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD Camrys have an official Natural Resources Canada rating of 5.0 L/100 km combined, and fuel economy ranges from 5.0 to 5.5 litres per 100 kilometres depending on trim and drivetrain configuration.

Which 2026 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: SE FWD, SE Upgrade AWD, XLE AWD, and XSE AWD.

Here's the short version:

• SE FWD: This is the most affordable way into the Camry, and it already gives you the standard hybrid powertrain, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit warning. If you want the best-value trim, this is the one to start with.
• SE Upgrade AWD: This trim adds the Nightshade package in Canada, which brings a sportier appearance with satin black 19-inch wheels and gloss black exterior detailing. It suits you if you want the Camry’s efficiency and safety with a more distinctive look.
• XLE AWD: This is the trim to consider if you want the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, cloud-based navigation, destination assistance, and Intelligent Assistant. It is the more comfort- and tech-focused choice.
• XSE AWD: This is the most upscale and sporty-feeling version in the lineup, and it also gets the 12.3-inch touchscreen and the higher-end tech package. It suits you if you want the most complete Camry experience.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every trim, so you do not need to move up the range for core driver-assistance coverage.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2026 Toyota Camry earns five-star ratings in every individual NHTSA assessment, and the IIHS names it a Top Safety Pick+.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every 2026 Camry and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, road sign assist, and high beam assist. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit warning are also standard.

Proactive Driving Assist is also part of TSS 3.0. It can be turned on or off and is designed to monitor following distances and help avoid obstacles even when adaptive cruise control is not active.

One caveat is that lane-centring can feel unnatural in some curves, and adaptive cruise control can scrub off too much speed in tighter bends.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a sporty Nightshade Edition package for the SE Upgrade AWD and a new Cosmos Blue paint colour.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It brings a new look, new features, and a new hybrid powertrain.

The bottom line: If you want the current Camry with its updated trim mix and the latest small changes, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 can still make sense because it delivers the core Camry formula with the same efficiency-first appeal.
